For their 2021 fashion show, I collaborated with Julia y Renata producing thirteen pieces of jewellery: ten single earrings, and three long necklaces.
The starting idea was to treat a rectangular metal sheet as if it was paper. Folding it. Rolling it up. Cutting it. Curving it.
The resulting shapes show the process of trying to make the metal behave structurally as paper. But in appearance, keeping the reflection of a bright-polished metallic surface.
All the pieces were made in .925 sterling silver, in the historic center of Mexico City. Gold plated as a request by the fashion designers, for the presentation of their Manos Libres .02 Collection.
